Climate Crisis Campaign
Climate Change is
Stealing Their Future
"Mommy... I miss you."
Everyday, 10-year-old Wado walks
across the barren land of Kenya.
No water, No food.
Only endless miles beneath a scorching sun,
with just one reason – to save her family from starvation.
The groans of hunger
breaks the silence of the night.
No child should ever have to carry a burden this heavy.
Kenya: The Frontlines of Crisis
In Northern Kenya’s Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL), the earth has turned to dust.
810,000+ children are suffering from acute malnutrition.
1.5 million children have been forced out of school just to survive.

A Shelter for Livestock – But Not for Children
Children are sent on dangerous, months-long mission
in search for water for livestock.
They build a temporary camp called fora —
designed to protect cattle from predators.
But the children themselves remain exposed –
alone and vulnerable in the wilderness.
A child who could be unfolding her dreams in a classroom,
spends days and nights guarding livestock – hungry and alone.
The Youngest Breadwinner
11-year-old Salaad became the head of the family when
his father passed away. His mother suffers from malnutrition
and now he bears the weight to provide for his family.
Salaad herds a neighbor's cattle for a small wage –
often prioritizing the animals' lives over his own.
In the wilderness, a child's life always comes last.
Climate Injustice
Who pays the highest price for the climate crisis?
Surely not those who caused it. Children like Wado and Salaad bear the burden.
As if the heavy burden of malnutrition and poverty is not exacerbating enough,
children are placed at the frontlines to respond and
adapt to climate-induced emergencies.
Instead of holding books, they carry water.
Instead of dreaming about the future, they struggle to survive the present.
Their childhood is traded away – one day at a time.
It’s Time to Bring Them Home.
No child should have to choose between education and survival.
Together, we can help bring them back to school.
Together, we can give them back their childhood.
Stand with them today.
